You can't. But you can get a gmail account through http://mail.google.com (referred to as "Google mail")

If you have had an e-mail asking for your details be careful. This is a known phishing scam attempting to get you to give them all your personal info. It's not from Google, just delete it and ignore it. Good luck and be careful.

You just can create a gmail account.
After that you can enjoy google services more easily.
