I am using the Microsys A1 Sitemap generator to generate a google News Sitemap. This sitemap only accepts entries from the last 2 or 3 days. When I crawl my website all 'last modified' dates in 'analyze website' are the date and time the crawler crawled the site.  And when I generate the sitemap i get way more entries than i should get.

How to get the 'real' last modified date??

PS The website is sharepoint based.

Hi,

First check the google news sitemap tutorial. Then read this about how A1SG gets last modified value.


I am currently considering adding code that will try find date/time like strings on a website, but outputting correct last modified headers is really the best solution
